Gosh it’s been ages since my last blog post in here, well I got a good explanation for that. Atleast I think it’s good. Lots of things has been going on lately for example our upcoming TF2 Scout 2v2 tournament ( yes the tournament site is coded by me in 8 hours or so and its a betabetabeta version, I will make better when I get some time ).

So what has been going on besides the TF2 tournament? I got a new job and started at the company last monday as a Front End Developer and so far it’s been great. I am still coding my first project up in there, but the crew that I’m working with is super you just can’t get better people around you at work. My job besides doing html and css is installing the layouts for content management system and ofcourse customer service and bug fixing wich I haven’t done yet, maybe next week or so. :)

What comes for me and RCTIC ? I’ve been figuring out some new ways to keep you fans entertained and one thing has crossed my mind and went above others. An article with a interview from some of my close friends and family about gaming and how do they see esports and how my gaming has influenced them in life. Should be interesting but more about that later, maybe.

For now I’ll rest my “case” and wish you all good upcoming spring ( if it never comes ). Peace!

TF2 Scout 2v2 Cup!

RCTIC eSports is organizing a One Day Scout 2on2 CUP with some small prizes. The CUP will be played on Sunday, March 14th . The final will be played on Tuesday, March 16th. The games will begin at 20:00 CET on Sunday.

The CUP has a cap of 16 teams and we will be following ETF2L rule-set along with the following rules:

- 16 Two-Man teams
- Vanilla rules aka no FAN or Sandman
- 1 map per round
- maxrounds 5
- Map pool consisting of Badlands, Granary, Well, Turbine and Freight
- The final game will consist of 2 maps + decider. Teams can choose their own maps

TF2 team taking part in The Sennheiser Challenge!

Yesterday we announced news regarding our Team Fortress 2 team and player changes. Today they are competing first time with renewed lineup in The Sennheiser Challenge, held by Esports Heaven. Total of 64 teams will be competing in single elimination bracket for first place to gain prizepot of 500 euros in cash. Tournament will be played on two dates, today (23.2.) and on 25th day. There are total of six rounds in this tournaments and three rounds are played on both dates. Full schedule below..

23rd of February

20.45CET: Round 2 – cp_badlands
21.30CET: Round 3 – cp_gullywash

25th of February

19.30CET: Round 4 – cp_granary

21.15CET: Final – TBA

Our very own team will face infernal Gamers on first round. Winner of this match will be facing winner from match Blame versus .flag.

TF2 team brings in Yerted to replace vitalis

Almost one month ago we announced that we’re bringing in Team Fortress 2 team. Since then they’ve been doing quite ok but now they’re already facing some changes in their team. Anders “vitalis” Anderssen leaves the team due to motivation problems. To replace vitalis, our TF2 team have decided to bring in Matti “Yerted” Virtanen to team. Yerted isn’t well-known player yet even he isn’t new face in the scene. He had quite long break but he decided to make a comeback after Winter Assembly 2010 event and ended up to our team.

CS:S team taking part in The Sapphire Challenge!

Our Counter-Strike: Source team is participating in The Sapphire Challenge, hosted by Esports Heaven in assocation with Sapphire. Tournament features total of 128 teams who will be competing in single elimination bracket to gain prize of 500€ cash. First two rounds will be played tonight and then cup continues with two following rounds on 17th of this month. Full schedule below..

TF2 in ASRock Challenge

Our Team Fortress 2 team will be starting their first tournament under RCTIC’s name today! They’ve signed into ASROCK Challenge that is organized by ASRock and esportsheaven.

RCTIC TF2 might be facing teams such as Dignitas, Power Gaming and Blight Gaming in this massive tournament that has 128 signed teams. The winner of this tournament will receive 6xASRock H55M Pro motherboards.

I had a chat with JackieBoy from RCTIC.TF2 lineup about his and the teams thoughts of this upcoming tournament.

Pretty good. Excited about the tournament tonight :)

What are your feelings towards the upcoming ASRock Challenge?
The 1st rounds map cp_freight is one of our best maps. When we have been playing our best we have been able to keep skilled teams busy ;) But dont get any expectations! We can still mess everything up :D

You might be facing some of the best teams of EU in this tourmanets, excited?
Div1 Team would be nice :) Maybe we could learn couple tips from them by reading their game and learn what we might be doing wrong.

I’m flying.. Wait I’m dead!

Sup fellas? It’s been a while ( well not so long ) since I’ve “blogged” anything. Been busy as hell while doing some interesting things for RCTIC eSports club. Basicly I’ve been developing some websites and been so good so far, got couple of projects lined up for next month and still having fun.

Besides that I’ve been playing some warsow with Fatu from Menace and I am hooked to that game, yes I have played it before but never really learned anything but now I have found the instagib greatness. Jumping around, shootin’ some fools and giving a good whoopin’ for nerds!

But back to the subject websites.. Yeah it’s me who is developing the upcoming RCTIC website and I need you to tell me what do you want from the upcoming website. It’s still on the “drawing board” but I am starting to gather up some opinions and ideas what it should do. Webshop? Features? Something like that, you name it and I make it happen!
